Although a system in its own right the River Earn is a tributary of the mighty River Tay It is set amid the splendid scenery of Perthshire, one of Scotland's most beautiful and enchanting regions.
Fresh Salmon and Sea Trout enter the system all year round but the main run enters the River Earn in the late summer and autumn. Most fish are grilse of around 6-10lbs or salmon of about 10-15lbs, however there is always the prospect of fish up to 30lbs.
